The Physical Inventory Module
Physical Inventory is concerned with creating and maintaining cycle codes, performing and analyzing Inventory freezes, Physical Inventory counts and Inventory adjustments. The Cycle code tables must be populated before Physical Inventory counts can begin.
Physical Inventory Features
- Cycle Codes represent periods of time or physical locations; a warehouse is divided into subsets to simplify Physical Inventory and cycle counts
- Inventory Freeze provides a snapshot of Inventory quantities at a particular point in time and populates the Physical Inventory window with on-hand quantities for the Inventory items that are selected
- Physical Inventory window is used to enter the physical counts of Inventory items that were selected during Inventory freeze
- Physical Inventory Adjustment window is used to adjust on-hand Inventory quantities to match a Physical Inventory count entered in the Physical Inventory window
